Spray Tan Prep and Post Care

Preparation:
- Hydrate! In the days leading up to your spray tan, be sure you're hydrating; drinking plenty of water and using lotion daily.
- Exfoliate and shave at least 8 hours before your appointment.
- Do not wear any product the day of your tan (avoid lotions, perfumes, and deodorant)
- All mani/ pedis, and massages should be done PRIOR to your spray tan. Preferably at least 24 hours prior.
- Spray tans cannot be performed on the same day as waxing services. For the best results we recommend all waxing services be completed at least 48 hours before your tan.

Clothing:

- Wondering what to wear during your tan? Whatever you're comfortable with! Keeping in mind any clothing you leave on will leave a tan line  on your skin. 
- Even Keel Policy requires that Men and any clients under the age of 18 wear an appropriate undergarment for your session. Underwear, swim suits, speedo & shorts are all considered appropriate.
- The solution is water soluble and will come out of clothes easily when washed.
- After your tan please wear loose fitting clothing/ shoes.
- Please be prepared to go without a bra (if you choose to be tanned without a top) after your appointment for at least a few hours to avoid creating tan lines after the tan.
- If it's raining, please wear a jacket, pants, and closed toed shoes and bring an umbrella.

After your tan:

- Do not get wet. Allow a minimum of 8 hours for a full develop, and at least 3 hours for a rapid tan, before showering, washing hands or sweating.
- During your first shower you may notice the bronzer from the solution rising off down the drain, this is normal.
- Avoid exfoliating your skin during the life of your tan. This includes using a loofa, any exfoliation products, and your towel. (Air dry/ pat dry when you get out of the shower)
- HYDRATE SOME MORE! This is very important- to get the most out of your tan you want to make sure that you're staying hydrated, and using lots of spray tan safe lotion.

Please note: we cannot tan over a sunburn. If you have had a sunburn in the past month, there is a chance that the spray tan can cause you to peel and not have the best results. Please be mindful of these things when scheduling your appointment and protect your skin while in the sun!

Tanning Water
